BACK IN THE SUMMER OF 1986 MET UP WITH A GIRL THRU A MUTIAL FRIEND , ENDED UP KISSING MINOR TOUCHING PLEAD GUILTY TO A 288 WOBBLER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DROPPED TO A 243 SEX BATTERY MISDEMEANOR, AFTR 3 YEAR PROBATION AND ALSO 180 DAYS WKN CUSTODY , NEVER FINISHED WEEKNS 4YEARS LATER RE ARRESTED ON A PROBATION VIOLATION ,GIVEN 3YR PRISON ,TERM

NO OTHER CONVICTIONS IN 28 YEARS NOW 46 , STILL REGISTERING TO THIS DAY NO SEX NO VIOLENCE NO FORCE INVOLVED IN CRIME JUS TWO MINORS TOUCHING ,KISSING , WHAT A NITEMARE PLEA AFTER ALL THESE YEARS MARRIED NOW WITH KIDS , IM STILL DEALING WITH THIS ONE TRANSCREDITION FRM 86 , YOUTHFUL INDESCREATION WAT JUDGE SAID NO BIG DEAL BASCIALLY , IM LIVING PROFF OF A FAILED JUSTICE SYSTEM.

If you still live in CA, have you tried to apply for a Certificate of Rehabilitation? If you don’t live in CA, have you tried for a governor’s pardon?

By the way, for what it’s worth, Governor Brown during his 1st term as governor (I mean the very first term back in the 70s/80s) DID pardon certain 288 offenders. I’m pretty sure it had to be a misdemeanor with 14 y/o or older (not the 288 with under 14) with no violence, clean record after, etc. Sounds like the person who posted this should at least try in my opinion.

How about a hundred of us or so apply for a governors pardon? Maybe a stupid idea, but, if nothing else, it would make him look into the issues. I work and help pay his salary.

My son was recently hit with same type of garbage. He was 18, she 13 (week away from 14). He is now a full fledged sex offender at 20 – with no violence. This ridiculousness has to stop.

Amy, I sympathize with your son’s awful situation. Twenty years old is (forgive my ageism) just a kid. : (
